Our seasonally inspired cuisine is interpretive Italian with a focus on Roman specialities. 54 Mint is a modern Roman classic built on the perfect balance of the old world and new.

Our Story

In 2009, three close-knit Italian friends with a shared vision embarked on a journey that became 54 Mint. Our dream was simple yet profound: to bring the genuine essence of authentic Italian culinary artistry to the vibrant city of San Francisco. We not only sought to work together but also to create a place where the essence of Italy could be savored in every bite and every sip of cuisines created from locally sourced seasonal ingredients.

We opened 54 Mint with the mission to transport our guests to the heart of Italy through authentic Roman cuisine and the warmth of genuine Italian hospitality. When Gianluca Legrottaglie joined the group a few months later, he brought with him his deep appreciation for wine, his love for fine cuisine, his unwavering belief in the power of great friendships, and his enthusiasm for sharing meals as a celebration of life itself.

To Gianluca, life is about breaking bread with friends, and that philosophy remains at the very core of 54 Mint.
